We are so excited to share our new favorite two ingredient recipe! Our kids love nut butter and jam sandwiches, stirring it into yogurt, spreading it on toast, tortillas and pancakes… jam is a real treat. But we find it so hard to find organic, all natural, low sugar jams for our family. Enter: chia jam! So simple to make and so delicious and nutritious. No added sugar and only two ingredients, there is no reason to buy jam again!

We used wild organic blueberries that you can find in the freezer case. They are the most nutrient dense form of blueberries and are free from chemicals and pesticides. They also help fight Ebstein-Barr Virus (EBV) which is so common especially in women. Their high concentration of antioxidants give your body an immunity surge and can help fight fatigue. Oh, and they make your skin glow! Eat your jam! Your kids will adore this too.

Directions:

Simply heat a bag of frozen organic berries (we used wild blueberries) over medium heat, mashing with the back of a spoon, until it becomes soupy and heated through.

Turn off the heat and stir in 3tbsp chia seeds. Allow to sit for a few minutes, stir again and store in mason jars in the fridge! That’s it! If your fruit is too tart, stir in a tablespoon or two of maple syrup for a healthy dose of sweetness.

With love and gratitude,

Christine & Stephanie
