Christine Beal Dunst

Christine Beal Dunst

Cofounder / CEO

Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, I yearned for the big city dream and to “make it” in NYC. I made my dream a reality and moved to NYC after college.
Navigating the city, having a high-pressure career, studying for graduate school and experiencing the NYC nightlife a bit too much took a toll on my mind, body and spirit. I tried all the latest fads of being “healthy” which led me to eat lots of chemicals—yes I was a “spray butter,” fake blue/pink packet sugar, low-fat everything, processed food junkie. After all, I thought I was being healthy. Basically, I used food as a control mechanism vs. a source of joy.

Stephanie Rapp

Cofounder / CEO

I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire. We were a very active family: skiing, hiking, dancing, tennis and local sports teams. My mom cooked a family dinner every night and we sat around the table eating and talking and laughing together.
I remember how everything became an adventure from baking cookies to scavenger hunts in the back yard to puppet shows from paper dolls we’d made from paper towel rolls or wooden spoons. Every year I’d concoct a DIY birthday party idea and my mom would spend long nights making my creations into realities.

    Elena Marks

    Elena Marks

    MS, CCC-SLP

Elena immigrated to Brooklyn from the USSR at the age of 5. Eating ‘American’ was an adventure, but with two parents who had to work endlessly to keep her family afloat, home cooked meals were traded in for processed foods and fast food. Today, as a mother of twin daughters, Elena works hard to balance both convenience and making healthy meals for her family. Growing up she played tennis, made all-state, and was recruited to play Division 1 tennis for Penn State. After college, Elena attended Columbia University and  got her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, leading her to work hand in hand with many wellness practitioners. Elena’s passions include surfing and yoga and family. She believes we should all get better  and more inspiring with age! Elena is thrilled to be working with EMBODY Wellness to continue her journey towards a healthy lifestyle, and to share that adventure as a brand ambassador!
