Tagalongs:

Chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven, and that’s exactly what this smoothie tastes like. But, unlike its cookie counterpart, this smoothie won’t weigh you down. Carob powder works as an antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiseptic, and has been shown to improve digestion and lower cholesterol. Peanut butter and avocado make this smoothie creamy and rich while adding great healthy fats and protein. Decadent and healthy, this smoothie is guaranteed to start your day off right.

Note: If your smoothie is thicker than you’d like, add an extra ½ cup of water to thin it out.

Ingredients

  • 1 bananapeeled
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp carob powder
  • 1 cup cashew milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 cup wateroptional
  • 1 cup ice

Thin Mint Smoothie:

This decadent green smoothie gives you that thin mint fix without all those sugary additives. Refreshing and sweet, we don’t think there is a better combination than chocolate and mint. Aside from their great taste, cacao is rich in antioxidants and mint is known to improve digestion. Both are natural stimulants, so your energy and your spirits will be lifted. Add in a banana for a healthy dose of potassium to keep you hydrated, and you’ve got one perfect smoothie!

Blending Note: Blend everything except the cacao nibs for 1-3 minutes. Add in the cacao nibs and blend an additional 10-30 seconds. This will leave some of the nibs intact, which gives the smoothie a slight crunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple
  • 3-5 sprigs fresh mintstemmed
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Samoas:

The Girl Scouts were on to something with this recipe. They started us off with caramel and coconut, and we’ve added healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Cashews provide a rich, caramel-like flavor, and antioxidants known to help protect your heart. Coconut offers a sweet complimentary flavor while upping the healthy fat intake. Pineapples, greens, and pears add top it off with a healthy dose of fiber, vitamins A, B, C, potassium and pectin. And with all the wonderful nutrients of broccoli, BroccoLeaf (short for broccoli leaves) provides even more versatility and vibrancy to this recipe. Truly a delight.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz broccoleaf
  • 1 pearchopped
  • 4 oz pineapple
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 1 tsp lucuma powder
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice
