Move over sugary refined chocolate bars, there IS something better.

This is homemade chocolate made fuss free! Takes 5 minutes to prep and 20 minutes until you can enjoy it. Vegan, gluten-free, protein, healthy fats and antioxidant packed goodness. Unlike processed dark chocolate, antioxidants are preserved in raw cacao and it contains serotonin = our neurotransmitter that mediates satisfaction, happiness and optimism. We added in protein packed seeds and nuts with other superfoods like chia and flax seeds for hormone balancing, fiber and protein. These are husband and kid approved.

For our V-day edition, we add in organic freeze dried raspberries and organic rose petals.

Feel free to explore adding in adaptogens too like chaga or reishi mushrooms. The topping ideas are endless. Get creative + enjoy.

They will melt much faster than normal chocolate. Be sure to keep them chilled in the freezer. We serve it directly from the freezer!

Ingredients

*Use organic when possible (for the nuts we used raw, organic and sprouted) + if you only have one or two of the seeds mentioned below, that works too! Make it your own.

1 tbsp of chia seeds

1 tbsp of sesame seeds

1 tbsp of flax seeds

¼ cup of dried cranberries (any dried fruit works! )

¼ cup of dried coconut flakes (optional)

½ cup of virgin coconut oil

½ cup of cocao powder

¼ cup of maple syrup or local honey

1.5 tbsp of nut butter

Pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt

  2. Pour mixture on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Make smooth and flat, ~ ¼ to ½ inch think. Sprinkle in the remaining ingredients.
  3. Place into freezer on a flat surface for 20 minutes, or until frozen
  4. Break into “bark” and serve directly from freezer. They will melt if left out.
